Kudos to Robert Tinnell and his talented team at Allegheny ImageFactory for having the balls to apply a contemporary interpretation toPoe's most famous tales. Purists of Poe's time-locked settings mayrevolt, but for introducing these stories in a manner more readilyconsumed by today's audiences, the film is a huge success! As describedin the press materials, five of the best known, classic tales of terrorby Edgar Allan Poes have been re-shot and re-imagined undercontemporary circumstances. While the visual effects at times maybetray the budgetary and indie origins of this collection, the conceptsand execution are otherwise spot on target. Check it out!
