Known Trivia

  • Originally written to be a short film. After initial production wrapped in May 2008, Mosley and Storey plugged away tirelessly in the editing room only to find themselves, in the end, staring down the barrel of a 53-minute “short” film. They regrouped and realized that there was more of the story to be told. So, additional scenes were written and a second phase of production commenced in September 2008 which wrapped on November 1. A year after shooting the first frame of “HOLD, the short version” Mosley and Storey found themselves in possession of a lean 85-minute feature film.
  • After premiering in the Texas Competition of the 2010 Dallas International Film Festival, HOLD played a week later at the 2010 Kent International Film Festival in Connecticut, where it won The Sleeping Giant Award (feature), given to films “that people should be on the watch for”.

Story: "Hold" is a tense, spare, and lean drama about a young couple's relationship in the aftermath of a violent home invasion. Boasting no musical score and filmed in claustrophobic closeups, it investigates the frailty of the hero complex by putting a microscope on American paranoia.Written by Revision Films production staff

It is in rare form to see a movie that shows the whole truth about asubject. For a woman, being raped is something we are scared ofhappening to us every time we are alone. Being a woman myself I canunderstand the pain felt by a rape victim. But what happens to the lifeof our loved ones? Frank Mosley & Robby Storey wrote a one of a kindstory about the reality of rape. Not just that of the victim but of allthe people who end up hurt. What happens to the marriage of a rapevictim? How does a husband try to help his wife who feels helpless? Canlove be enough in the end? Three cheers to their honest answers on ahorrible experience. A fabulous male perspective on a female crime.
